Painful Teeth

A healthy tooth doesn’t hurt, it shouldn’t be sensitive to hot or cold things, and should always feel strong when you bite down on foods. If you’re getting pain from your teeth its usually because something is not OK. Painful Teeth can have many causes, but the most common causes are infection, decay and cracks.

Common symptoms include:

  • Chipped, cracked, or broken teeth
  • Swelling or large abscesses
  • Jaw pain that doesn’t go away
  • Unexplained bleeding in the mouth
  • Momentary sensitivity to hot or cold foods
  • Sharp pain when biting down on food
  • Constant and severe pain and pressure, swelling of gum and sensitivity to touch
