A dental implant is similar to a natural tooth, with a root (made out of a biocompatible material) which is placed into the jaw bone and then a dental crown attached above the bone and gum. Dental implants offer a permanent solution that look, feel and function just like real teeth with no affect on your other teeth.

This procedure requires the placement of the dental implant into the jaw bone under the gum firstly and then once healed, the crown is attached. Implants are cared for in exactly the same way as your natural teeth.
